Fafi is here - yay!!

So Fafi for MAC came out and Ichose a couple of things, just 2 as I am saving for Heatherette! I got the Fun 'n' Sexy lipstick and the Totally It lipglass which look amazing together!! The lipstick is bright pink with a purplely sheen to it and though it didn't have as goos a colour payoff as I hoped, topped with the lipglass it looked great!! I was a bit dissapointed with the other Fafi stuff, quads were a bit dull for my liking but the packaging is very cute!!

Yes, Fafi hit the stands here yesterday. From when the pictures first appeared online till when I saw the actual products, I wasn't all that impressed. I only got one paint pot (Layin' Low) and I used it today. It's okay. What do you think of the lipglass?

I love the lipglass, I got 'totally it'. I think it looks great over the 'fun 'n' sexy' lipstick, but on its own isnt as nice, same for the lippie. There wasnt really anything else in the collection that grabbed my attention.

Have you ever tried the Paint Pots (not just from Fafi, but also their permanent collection)? I love them!!! I was at MAC again today and tried on some from the Fafi line. I like Nice Vice (I'm a sucker for purples) and Perky, but to be honest, I probably won't be getting them. I also swatched Totally It, and you're right, I think it would work great over Fun 'N' Sexy!

I haven't tried the paint pots yet? Can you still blend them ok? That is what put me off them really, they look quite thick in the pots? They do have some lovely colours though...

Well, it is more like paint than powder when you first apply it (ie. creamy), but it dries to a powdery finish. It's not as blendable as powder, but you can definitely use your fingers (I use the MAC 249). I got Bare Study when it came out last year and it's by far my favourite. I use it as a base (as some would with the Urban Decay Primer Potion and MAC's Prep'n'Prime for eyes) and it makes the shadows and liner last longer. And on days that I don't want to wear much makeup, I use it to brighten up my lids. I haven't tried the other colours but I will, possibly Moss Scape and Nice Vice or Fresco Rose.

I do recommend it, but I'd stick with a neutral colour (e.g. Bare Study, Painterly, Rubenesque, Soft Ochre, Perky) so that you wear it as a base in case you don't like it as a shadow.
