Review: Bliss - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

This was the first product from Bliss that I ever tried and I am so glad I did! I wanted a product that exfoliated but wasn't too harsh on my skin for daily use and this one was perfect. The first thing I noticed was it smelled of bubble gum, but it doesn't say this on the packaging anywhere so maybe that is just me LOL! It is also a lovely pale blue colour with a gel like texture that is not too thick. I found a little goes a long way and this bottle seemed to last forever which is great, especially if people are unsure about spending £15.00 on a facial cleanser. It felt lovely on and didn't foam up that much, despite it's name. I used this for a few weeks and although I didn't see a major difference in my skin, (I suffer from quite dry skin at times and found this did help a little but nothing to write home about) it did always look clear and healthy. I would recommend this product as it does it's job, smells beautiful and lasts a long time.
Bliss - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash retails at £15.00 in the UK

Review: MAC Slimshine Lipstick

I was excited about this range as it promised a smooth yet non-stick finish that was similar to gloss. Now I have heard that you can get through one of these pretty quickly and this may indeed be the case as the lipstick itself is quite thin compare to others, hence Slimshine LOL. I was very happy to learn that Slimshine will be part of MACs permanent collection, so there is no need to worry about buying these in future. I was also impressed with the selection of shades available, there seems to be something for everyone! Paler pinks like Stem Rose are lovely, as well as Voile which is a shimmery gold. I purchased the two I heard good things about; Bare and Rock Out.

Bare is described by MAC as "light neutral pink with subtle gold pearl" while Rock Out is described as "clean bright blue pink with gold pearl". The lipsticks had a very creamy texture and did feel a little similar to gloss when worn, but not as tacky. They do have a wonderful shine to them which surprised me as in the actual containers they looked quite matte. I actually loved both shades I tried, Bare is perfect for a more neutral lip and Rock Out is a brilliant bright pink that adds a bit of fun to any look.

MAC Slimshine Lipsticks retail at £11.50 in the UK

So the site has been totally vamped up in a bright pink - yay! I am hoping to slowly build up lots of new visitors as I carry on reviewing make up and skincare products. I have a few things lined up to write about including:

  • Dior Addict Lipsticks

  • Bliss's Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

  • MAC Prep 'n' Prime Product Range

  • MAC Slimshine Lipsticks

Hope you will look forward to reading my reviews and please feel free to leave a comment :)

Review: Honey Snap Out Of It Scrub - Benefit

So here is my first product review - yay!! I love makeup and skincare so I thought I could review products on my blog and hopefully help out anyone who wishes to read.... let's begin!
So I decided to buy this as exfoliating is good for your skin, since it takes away all the dead skin cells. I heart most things Benefit so thought this was a good a brand as any to try out. Now this stuff smells delicious but looks a little grainy, now don't worry, those little grains are gonna do all the work for you! The first time I tried this I used it as a face mask, you can do that or use it as a facial scrub, 2 or 3 times a week. I put the product over my face, avoiding my eye area and left it on for 3 minutes. While it was on, it didn't feel to tight like masks sometimes do, it wasn't too sticky either, just felt pretty comfortable. My fiance thought I looked dumb but he is a boy and doesn't understand these things LOL!
After the 3 minutes were up, I massaged the product over my face with a little warm water. As I did this, it felt really nice and I could really feel the little exfoliating bead working! I then used a damp flannel to gently wipe over my face before rinsing completely and this worked really well. I patted my skin dry and left a few minutes before inspecting LOL!
I was really impressed with the results and couldn't believe what a difference it made to my skin! My face felt much, much softer than before and looked clear and radiant! I now use this as a scrub a few times a week and about once a week I use it as a face mask and my skin has really improved. I would recommend this product to anyone who isn't exfoliating their face, as it makes a huge difference and I think the price is reasonable enough, considering how well it works. It retails at £18.50 here in the UK.
